NOTE:
  • Do not over-torque or over-tighten the terminals. Over-tightening could potentially damage the unit.
  • Be mindful of the positive and negative poles. Reversing the poles may cause permanent damage to the inverter and will likely blow the internal fuse.
  • Avoid switching on the inverter with the load (electronic devices) already powered on. Some electronic devices have a high initial power surge when starting, which could trigger an overload.
  • When turning off the inverter, switch off the electronic devices first. Although the inverter is off, the capacitors may still hold a charge. Ensure the DC and AC terminals are disconnected if altering the circuitry.

1. What's the difference between an inverter charger and an inverter?

The Inverter acts as a DC to AC converter that allows you to power your household appliances. The Inverter charger not only acts as a DC to AC converter that allows you to power your household appliances but also charge and maintain a battery bank when connected to shore power.
2. Can I use the inverter with a 24V system?

No. This model can only work with a 12V battery system.
3. What's a battery temperature sensor?

The charger needs to select the charging mode according to the battery voltage. The Temperature Sensor can compensate the battery voltage affected by temperature so that the charger recognizes the voltage more accurately and assures stable and constant charging to the battery, Prolong battery lifespan.
Note: The DC-DC Temperature Sensor cannot use with Lithium batteries.
4. What size inverter should I buy?

1. Sizing the right power output.
Inverters will be rated by a wattage value, telling you how many watts they can run at one time. For example, imagine you had a 500 Watt Fridge and 800 Watt Air Conditioning. These two items would be 1300 Watts and would require an inverter with a higher wattage than 1300W. Renogy 2000W and 3000W inverter will meet your power needs.
2. Check your battery voltage.
The DC voltage rating on the inverter will tell you what battery bank it is compatible with. For example, a 12V battery bank will require an inverter that is compatible with 12V DC input.
3. Size your installation spaces.
What area or space will you set your inverter? Make sure the inverter will fit in the space you have in mind with enough room around it for proper ventilation and no fire hazards.
4. Remote operation is important.
Renogy pure sine inverters come with convenient remote control and DC HOME APP options so that you can operate the unit from afar.
5. Do I need a Modified Sine Wave or Pure Sine Wave inverter?

Modified sine wave inverters are older technology and generally less expensive. They can be used for many standard appliances but may cause issues with delicate electronics or audio equipment. Some devices may work but may run hotter than usual. Pure sine wave inverters are a bigger investment but are far more versatile. a) The output voltage waveform is a pure sine wave with very low harmonic distortion, providing clean power similar to utility-supplied electricity. b) Inductive loads, such as microwave ovens and motors, run faster, quieter, and cooler. c) Reduces audible and electrical noise in fans, fluorescent lights, audio amplifiers, TVs, game consoles, fax machines, and answering machines. d) Prevents crashes in computers, printing errors, and glitches or noise in monitors.
6. Can I use the Bluetooth Module to monitor this inverter charger from my phone? Which Bluetooth Module should I buy?

We apologise, but there is no Bluetooth module compatible with this inverter.

    Excellent product

Posted by Taylor on Nov 3rd 2022

Installation instructions were clear, with appropriate tips and warnings highlighted throughout. Felt like a pretty daunting project at first, but that made it easy. Be sure to research ahead of time, but if you want an off grid system, this worked great for us.

These folks are putting together exceptional solar power and off grid products. They are well engineered in exacting detail. Their prices are very competitive. They deliver on time as promised. What a wonderful company. I am grateful that they are in business.

Great unit just wished it worked a bit differently

Posted by Vkilin on Aug 17th 2022

This all-in-one unit is simple to wire and simple to use. My only gripe is that it needs to be turned on to even operate in bypass mode when you have shore power. The automatic transfer switch is very fast and with four 100Ah LiFePo4 batteries and a MicroAir Easy Start, I can run my A/C for four hours using this unit. Even though I am using 4/0 wire and very short runs, there is a slight high pitched whine but its common for many inverters. However I only hear it in inverter mode under certain circumstances and there is no other noise in the trailer. It is a large unit and very heavy. I did wire a 300A T-Fuse and cutoff switch between the batteries and this unit so I can positively turn it off from inverter mode.

    Works as intended

Everything works as expected... I did wire in my own transfer switch because of the reviews I had read but... I definitely recommend this inverter/charger.

    Great Unit

Posted by Greg on Jul 27th 2022

Nice unit. Works as advertised. Wish it had a remote display, not just an on/off remote. Unit is a bit heavy, but understandable. Would recommend to anyone wanting a heavyduty inverter.

Simple, elegant, overall a great buy!

Posted by Vkilin on Jul 27th 2022

Easy to install and the wired switch has a nice long cable so you can route it to a convenient location. Quite large but works well and running sensitive electronics has been flawless. Easy to read LCD screen and simple menu controls supported by a manual. Great product
